Since the beginning of this country we have had 242 years of activism and change. Major examples of ordinary people taking it upon themselves to risk their lives and well being for the betterment of their families, communities and their country. Progressives have always been the engine for that social and political change. Always devising new and innovative ways of moving toward that more perfect union. Mostly motivated and dogged by necessity, progressives always see quality of life as a primary value. Hopeful that each succeeding generation will live a life better than their own, Americans worked hard. Fed, clothed and sheltered their families. In many cases took care of their parents as they aged while preparing their children for the responsibilities of adulthood. Often times leaving behind little or nothing more than preparation upon their demise.
After World War II a new phenomenon occured.
